Environmental management has received renewed attention under the present administration. The Kano State Government has prioritised waste management, flood control, and climate adaptation as key components of sustainable development. The reactivation of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board has led to cleaner streets and improved waste collection efficiency. Tree-planting campaigns, greenbelt projects, and public awareness drives on environmental hygiene are promoting a culture of cleanliness and ecological responsibility. The administration of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has also taken decisive steps to restore wetlands and manage flood-prone areas. These efforts reflect the State’s long-term vision for a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient environment.
