The Kano State Government has strengthened the healthcare system with a focus on accessibility, equity, and sustainability. Over the past two years, the administration has rehabilitated numerous hospitals, upgraded primary healthcare centres, and supplied modern medical equipment to ensure effective service delivery. The introduction of free maternal and child healthcare services in designated facilities has significantly improved health outcomes for women and children, while immunisation coverage has expanded across all 44 Local Government Areas. Under the guidance of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Government has also prioritised the welfare of healthcare workers through recruitment and improved working conditions. Health campaigns on sanitation, nutrition, and disease prevention have further strengthened community health resilience. Collectively, these interventions reaffirm the administration’s commitment to building a healthier and more productive population.
