The Administration has placed youth empowerment and sports at the centre of its inclusive growth agenda, delivering a blend of skills, livelihoods and sporting investments to unlock opportunity for Kano’s young people. Key interventions include targeted empowerment schemes — such as distribution of POS kits and start-up toolkits that reached 2,000 youths, and community revolving funds piloted in 10 communities to seed micro-enterprises. The revival of garment and textile clusters and the reopening of vocational training centres have expanded practical training and employability pathways, while sports development programmes have been revitalised to promote talent discovery and community engagement.
